Super, super cool integral western chef’s knife from Andrew Wasnac of Wasnac Blacksmithing out of Akron Ohio. Andrew has a hell of an eye, and a style all his own that just can’t be denied. Definitely one of the most talented young American smiths around. 8.5” (210x65mm) blade in Timken USA 52100 carbon steel. Nice taper and thinly ground behind the edge with a great forged texture and faceted integral bolster. The heirloom fit handle is vintage Westinghouse Micarta, and the look speaks for itself, but it’s also super comfy in multiple grips, and about as ideal a handle material there is.
