Now here’s a fun little oddity- an integral carbon steel steak knife from Will Catcheside. Blade length is 130mm total length 250mm. Handle material is Blackwood and curly birch. Has some condition issues, please read-
I’ve had this knife floating around for a long time. I can’t remember the circumstances, but I think I got it off the forums 6 or 7 years ago as part of a buy. I never tried to sell it, as it came to me with a pretty substantial flaw, in that the handle material pieces have shrunken a bit and there are some gaps in the handle pieces. I’ve tried to address this by giving it thorough baths in oil, hoping it would swell back into place, but no luck. The blade itself is in good condition, but also suffered some spots of corrosion. Please see pics before purchasing.
This knife is very unique, has been a fun little conversation piece to have around, and comes from an exceptional maker, so maybe someone would like to add it to their collection or figure out how to rehandle it.
