Rehandled Vintage Forgecraft Carbon Steel Small Cleaver

This was my first handle project ever. It is far from perfect, it has some unevenness to the surface with a few errant marks and divots, and is not perfectly glued up at the front, but it IS undoubtedly still a pretty cool little cleaver. The handle is red oak I believe, with black paper micarta and oversized brass Corby bolts. The blade is in good shape with some minor, shallow pitting patches and some light scratching (Please see photos), but is structurally sound. Definitely worthy of a good polishing. 

From Forgecraft, an American kitchen knife company with tons of history, this vintage carbon steel cleaver measures 7x3” approximately and is on the thinner side, and appropriate for veggies and lighter butchery work, but is not recommended for breaking bones.
