Large vintage forged carbon steel chefs knife from Dexter, out of Green River in Massachusetts. Unsure of age but I would guess 50s or 60s from my limited knowledge. Blade measures 290x60mm (12”x2 3/8”) and 433mm overall length. Condition is very good considering its age, the blade itself has a deep patina but no real pitting, only a few small dimples and some old sharpening marks. It was definitely a larger knife at one point that has been used. The handle has definitely been roughed up in use a little, but it gives it tons of character and there is zero separation of the handle from the tapered tang, so it is structurally sound. I refinished the handle and removed all grime, and sharpened up, so it definitely ready to get back to work.
