This blade, from Gilbert Mccann, is 204x54mm of 1095/15n20 200 layer random damascus, and is paired with a tapered stainless steel bolster and spacer with stabilized red cedar handle. Comes with a custom leather saya with a lily design. Very nice cutting geometry on this one, thin behind the edge leading up to a sturdy feeling spine with a nice taper towards the tip. The tip is thin but with no flex for a very sturdy feel doing finer tip work. At 6.9 oz (195 grams) it’s a very nice light-middleweight, well balanced and comfortable user, with the addition of some serious but understated style points.
