I wish I had more info on this piece, but as Bitossi collectors know, their prolific and varied scale of work can be challenging to properly date. It is obviously Bitossi, and obviously Rimini Blue, but whether sold through Flavia or not, and what time period I just can’t say. My GUESS is 60’s, possibly 70’s, but although I have looked and looked, I haven’t been able to find another like it. It’s is gorgeous, no doubt about that. Condition seems to be unused, but there is a small chip on one edge (pictured). Size is 9.5 x 8.75 inches. Pricing is so hard with this company, I hope I’m not pricing it far too low, but what I do know is that it brings an amazing pop of color to any room it is in. There definitely isn’t as much demand for ashtrays as there once was, but maybe you are or know a super classy smoker, or simply can appreciate it as decorative art. Cheers.
