A very, very nice little paring from Jason Lopicollo out of Eureka, California. In Aeb-l stainless steel, and hardened to 62.5 hrc it’s sure to deliver a solid and sharp edge.Although I probably shouldn’t call it little, since at 102 x 28mm x 219mm overall, it’s on the larger side for a paring, which I think is a very useful size, capable of both in hand work as well as smaller board tasks in the kitchen. And I don’t know what Jason would think, but in my opinion it’s just sturdy enough to make a great general purpose camp or work knife. I think it would be great for lighter wood cutting tasks, or cord, or leather. And we haven’t even touched on the handle yet, which is a really nice piece of stabilized old growth redwood paired with black canvas micarta liners and pins. Not super showy, but with tons of character. The handle at 4.5” is suitable for larger hands as well as those who like a more full size handle on their paring knives.
